Do you run a large or multichannel e-commerce?
If you operate several channels — online store, marketplaces, physical retail, contact centre — this e-commerce diagnostic may fall short. The OMMMICX omnichannel maturity model assesses strategy, processes, people, technology and data in a single view, so you don't leave key criteria out of your assessment.
Assess my omnichannel maturityHow it works
- 1. You answer 32 statements grouped into 8 areas, on a four-level scale.
- 2. You get a score per area, your maturity level and a comparison chart.
- 3. You receive a 90-day plan for the three weakest areas, with actions, articles, videos and tools.
All the calculation happens in your browser. Your answers are saved only on your device and you can come back to the diagnostic whenever you want.
What the e-commerce maturity diagnostic measures
An online store rarely fails at everything at once: it fails in a couple of areas that drag down the rest. This diagnostic splits the business into eight working areas, taken from the FREED E-commerce Playbook, so you can see which one is holding the others back and decide where to put next quarter's effort.
Niche and market validation
What you sell, who you sell it to and why they would choose you. Without this defined, everything else runs blind.
Discipline, planning and metrics
The business runs on processes and visible numbers, not on intuition and urgencies.
Website user experience
How easy it is to find, understand and buy in your store, especially on mobile.
SEO and content
If you depend only on paid advertising, your acquisition cost never drops. Content and SEO are the other engine.
Social media, video and community
Presence with judgement: few channels, well worked, with formats your audience actually consumes.
Marketplaces and channels
Selling where the buyers already are, without getting trapped in one platform.
SEM and paid advertising
Buying traffic with control: measured campaigns, not budget burned by inertia.
Email marketing, CRM and automation
Your own database is the only channel nobody can take away. This is where margin comes back.
How to read the score
Each statement adds 0 to 3 points depending on how established the practice is. Each area score is the percentage of its maximum and the global score is the average of the eight areas. The number is not a grade: it is a way to order priorities.
0%Initial
The business works, but almost everything depends on daily effort and intuition. There is a lot to gain with a few well-chosen changes.
35%Developing
The foundations are there: some processes exist and some channels work. The leap comes from consolidating what you already do and closing the most expensive gaps.
60%Consolidated
The e-commerce operates with method in most areas. Now the improvement lies in measuring better and optimising what is already running.
82%Advanced
Your operation is mature and measured. The focus shifts to efficiency, retention and exploring new channels with controlled risk.
